Three Cups of Tea

This book is very inspiring, i was hooked right away. The courage to climb mountains in general impresses me, but Greg Mortenson takes a simple trip and turns it into a life long journey.
Greg is traveling to meet is guide on a moutain in Pakistan when he runs into a village where he is welcomed so gratefully. He eventually finds out that this village has no school, no place where they can keep warm while they learn. So Greg goes back to America to raise enough money to build a school in that quaint little village. When ever Greg rcives a very large donation to his cause Greg heads back over to Pakistan where he runs into a problem, the only way they could build the school was if they first build a bridge to cross the supplies over. So Greg heads back to America to raise the money for the bridge. The same man who gave the very large donation sought Greg and asked him to start a foundation with him which builds schools in foriegn countries. After the first school was built Greg contiued to travel and build schools but he kept returning to the very first village in which he calls his 2nd home!
